We're diving into another assessment of the Redmi Note 13, and for clarity, this isn't a revisit. Contrary to its name, the Redmi Note 13 5G isn't an upgrade but rather the most basic model within the lineup.

In appearance, the Redmi Note 13 5G closely resembles its counterparts, maintaining a predominantly flat design available in a variety of colors and boasting IP54-rated ingress protection.

The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, consistent with the other Note models, offering a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Some markets may also enjoy 10-bit color depth on this panel.

Powering the Redmi Note 13 5G is the MediaTek 6080 5G chipset, offered in two common configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, both expandable via microSD.

On the rear, the Note 13 5G houses three cameras: a 108MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor. Notably absent is the macro camera found in the 4G version.

In comparison, the Note 13 5G lacks stereo speakers or an under-display fingerprint scanner, cementing its status as the most fundamental model, though not necessarily the cheapest.

Concluding the hardware specifications, the Redmi Note 13 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and operates on Android 13 with MIUI 14.

Unboxing the Redmi Note 13 5G

Inside the retail packaging of the Redmi Note 13 5G, you'll find standard contents: a USB-C-to-A cable, a 33W power adapter, and a dark gray protective case. Xiaomi's choice of darker cases over transparent ones remains a curiosity.
