12 Pro+ in for review
Realme introduced its latest smartphone series, the Realme 12 Pro series, unveiling both the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. In our office, we have the Pro+ model in the Submarine Blue color for review. Before delving into our testing, let's begin with a quick unboxing of the smartphone.
The Realme 12 Pro+ arrives in a vibrant yellow retail package, complete with essential accessories such as a protective case, a charging cable, a 67W power adapter, and a SIM ejector tool.
Equipped with a 6.7-inch 120Hz FullHD+ curved AMOLED display featuring an embedded fingerprint reader, the Realme 12 Pro+ impressed us with its speed and accuracy during our initial interaction. The display also incorporates a centrally positioned punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera (IMX615).
Flipping the phone reveals a design reminiscent of the Realme 11 Pro+, featuring the 3D Jubilee Bracelet spanning the back cover, interrupted only by the centrally aligned camera island. The Realme 12 Pro+'s back panel utilizes vegan leather, crafted from dirt-resistant high-end silicone materials, offering a luxurious feel. Not only is the panel pleasant to touch, but it also prevents fingerprint smudges and provides a secure grip.
While the design echoes its predecessor, the Realme 12 Pro+ boasts a larger circular camera island, accommodating the LED flash and three cameras - a 50MP primary (IMX890, OIS), 64MP periscope telephoto (OV64B, OIS), and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The telephoto unit supports 3x optical zoom and 6x in-sensor zoom. A Golden Fluted Bezel surrounds the camera island, complemented by a Polished Sunburst Dial, creating a visually appealing effect when light hits it at different angles, enhancing the premium look of the Submarine Blue version.
Under the hood, the Realme 12 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, offering up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and houses a robust 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging support.
